Security Officer
About the role
Amery Hospital is hiring a full-time Security Officer responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Security Officers provide a variety of services, including routine patrols, emergency response, public assistance, report writing, investigative services, and other duties as deemed necessary by the Manager of Security Operations.
Responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the hospital (internal and external) and any off-site properties owned and/or operated by Amery Hospital & Clinic on a daily basis as requested.
- Respond to the emergency needs of the organization and its occupants when necessary.
- Respond to routine requests of all departments of Amery Hospital & Clinic.
- Report and investigate all incidents.
- Keep accurate documentation of all events during a scheduled shift.
- Responsible for quick registration for patients entering the emergency department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrates keyboarding skill and computer knowledge.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Post-high school education in the field of law enforcement.
- One year of experience in customer service.
- Experience in working security, law enforcement, military, or mental health.
