Security Officer

Essential Functions

• Provide efficient and courteous service to all customers at all times.
• Always exhibit ‘hands on’ and direct approach with customers.
• Receive and logs all incoming vehicles.
• Records the proper dealer name on all incoming vehicles.
• Checks and verifies stock number, VIN number, color and model of all vehicles prior to release.
• Ensures appropriate signature and approval on all release documents.
• Ensures all hoods and trunks are properly latched when vehicles exit.
• Patrols the entire premises on a daily basis looking for anything out of the ordinary.
• Inspection of gate and fence for damages.
• Ensures the security fence is operational and set when facility is closed.
• Ensures the facility is locked with the alarm set when departing premises.
• Inspection of vehicles to assure they have not been tampered with.
• Aid with auction day activities as needed.
• Aid with the entrance to insure only dealers are in attendance on sale days.
• Maintain a clean and orderly guard shack at all times.
• Ensure the immediate reporting of any vehicle not returned after test drive.
• Work well independently as well as a team player.
• Timely communication of issues that may be deemed as detrimental to the success of operations to Management.
• Performs other duties as necessary.

  Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

  Skills

  • Should be highly organized, self-motivated and self-disciplined.
  • Highly customer service oriented.
  • Computer proficient.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
