Security Officer

About the role

As a Security Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, trespassing, theft, and/or disruptive behavior while following location protocols and post orders.
• Support day-to-day campus operations by assisting with directions, handling routine inquiries, and communicating professionally with site contacts, students, and visitors.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
