Security Officer
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions at an aerospace and defense location.
- Monitor access points and verify entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols, helping to support restricted area control and visitor processing.
- Support emergency and evacuation procedures as directed, communicating clearly with site contacts, employees, and/or first responders during changing conditions.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
