Security Officer

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Ambassador in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and/or restricted zones, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance issues.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions, and assist with visitor, vendor, and/or vehicle screening in accordance with site protocols and location requirements.
• Support emergency and evacuation procedures, communicate clearly with employees and first responders, and complete accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation before the end of each shift.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Customer service experience.
