About the role
As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and concealed carry weapons permit.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and personnel activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with designated site personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required records regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
Requirements
- A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
- Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Pay & schedule
Full Time. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour.
Schedule: Wednesday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, Thursday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, Friday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, Saturday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, Sunday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM.
