About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and support compliance with site entry, exit, and property-control procedures.
- Maintain required armed post equipment and complete accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$19.53 / hour
Schedule
- Day shift: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday shifts available
