Security Officer Armed Sector Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong communication and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, while maintaining awareness of public activity and supporting order throughout the location.
- Work closely with site contacts, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel when needed, while following post orders and Allied Universal standards.
Requirements
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess a college degree.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a corrections officer license.
- Possess a law enforcement officer license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Qualifications
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
