Security Officer Armed Secret Cleared - DCJS Armed Required
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location as an armed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations while maintaining an armed presence that may help to deter unauthorized activity and other security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report unusual behavior, damaged property, or potential policy violations to site management.
- Support security-related operations involving equipment rooms, data-focused spaces, and other restricted areas by following post orders, maintaining awareness of site conditions, and completing required reports.
Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
Skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Good physical fitness and stamina.
- Ability to operate firearms safely and responsibly.
