Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver

About the role
As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and observations through accurate reports and required logs.
- Maintain readiness to perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, site requirements, training, and applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$21.50 / hour

- Wednesday: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
- Thursday: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
- Friday: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
