Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver

Overview

The role is a Part‑Time Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver located in Owego, NY, serving clients in industries such as aerospace and defense. The position offers flexible scheduling through the “Claim a Shift” platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, perimeter areas, parking locations, and restricted‑access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and support adherence to site entry and exit procedures.
• Carry authorized equipment and perform duties in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, training, and Allied Universal policies.

Requirements

• Valid armed guard card or license.
• Valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements (required for driving positions).
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws.

$25.72 per hour

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
