About the role
As an Armed Response Driver Security Officer in Goldsboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. This part-time role allows you to build a flexible schedule and explore new opportunities using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a government corrections environment.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access and movement within assigned areas, verify authorization as required, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- At least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
