Security Officer Armed Response Driver

About the role

Join Allied Universal in a government corrections location where you will conduct visible armed patrols, support security-related operations, and provide strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or permissions as directed, and support access control procedures for restricted areas within the location.
• Work collaboratively with site leadership and/or public sector personnel during routine operations, emergency situations, escorts, transports, and other security-related assignments as needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Skills

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to remain calm and handle emergencies effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform armed patrols.
