Security Officer Armed Response Agent

About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Response Agent in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading zones, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorized access, and support the enforcement of site rules regarding restricted areas, deliveries, and after-hours operations.
• Perform assigned armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, maintaining professional presence and readiness while handling security-related concerns with care and sound judgment.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
