Security Officer Armed Protective Patrol

About the role

As an Armed Protective Patrol Security Officer in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, including exterior areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized personnel and visitors as directed, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required logs in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
