Security Officer Armed - Plant Access

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Anderson, SC, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility interior, exterior perimeter, loading docks, parking areas, and distribution areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Possession of a Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
