Security Officer Armed Patrol with Active Clearance

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at an aerospace and defense-related location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain required entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, office areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, and/or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
