Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense industry location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, production areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and unusual activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or entry authorizations, and report security-related concerns involving restricted areas, sensitive materials, and site operations.
• Support Allied Universal and site leadership with incident reporting, radio communications, and other assigned duties related to security-related operations and preparedness.

Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Must possess an armed guard card or license.
