Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and de-escalating tense interactions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor management and restricted-area access in accordance with location protocols.
• Carry and maintain an authorized firearm while performing assigned duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and applicable laws.

Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services license.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Sat 10:00 AM - 08:00 PM, Sun 10:00 AM - 08:00 PM
