Security Officer Armed Patrol Part Time

About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Part Time in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel and/or first responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, access control, and enforcement of site-specific policies while maintaining a professional and respectful presence.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation; communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid armed guard card or license.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
