Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Reporting

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. This part-time role allows you to build a flexible schedule and explore new opportunities using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents, respond to situations, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, outages, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, substations, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors entering restricted operational areas.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions in required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$18.25 / hour

Schedule

• Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
