As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Burgaw, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government correctional location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized persons, and potential hazards.
• Monitor entrances, exits, alarms, surveillance systems, and communications equipment; document observations, incidents, and required actions in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate facility personnel and law enforcement resources as directed.
• Maintain readiness and responsible control of assigned equipment, including firearms, while following Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and post orders.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wednesday 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM, Saturday 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM, Sunday 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM
