Position Details

Security Officer – Armed Patrol (Part‑Time) – Arlington, VA

DoD Secret Security Clearance required.

Pay

$28.33 per hour

Schedule

Daytime shifts: Monday 11:59 PM – 08:00 AM, Tuesday 11:59 PM – 08:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report security‑related conditions, suspicious activity, and access‑control concerns to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and in accordance with site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Armed Guard Card/License.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Pepper Spray Certification (preferred).
• Handcuffing Certification (preferred).
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
