Security Officer - Armed Patrol CPO

About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol CPO in Culpeper, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a professional environment through teamwork, integrity, and reliable response while representing Allied Universal’s agile, caring, and innovative culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology infrastructure location.
• Maintain an armed post in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policy, and site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, document incidents, and provide escorts as directed by site procedures.

Requirements

• Possess a CPO certification.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
