Security Officer Armed Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control and documenting security-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment for daily operations.
• Work closely with site contacts, staff, and emergency personnel during medical, behavioral, and/or other urgent situations while following post orders and reporting protocols.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess 4 or more years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
