Security Officer Armed Patrol
About the role
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities while assigned to an armed patrol post.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and support security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry where required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
- Support emergency preparedness activities by assisting with evacuations, alarm responses, and/or other incident procedures while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
Requirements
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit, 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience, an Armed Guard Card or License, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
