Security Officer Armed Patrol Associate

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology-focused location. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and support entry control procedures for restricted offices, studios, data areas, and other designated locations.
• Support emergency and business continuity procedures, provide visible armed presence when assigned, and assist with de-escalation and communication during high-priority situations.

Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of experience as military police, a corrections officer, armed security, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Meet a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
