Security Officer Armed Patrol Access Verification

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer at a premier resort location in Orlando, FL, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to guests, visitors, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of resort buildings, guest areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for security-related hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations, and document observations and incidents in required reports.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while following applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal procedures.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
