Security Officer - Armed Patrol Access Control

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Access Control Security Officer in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as residential. This is a part-time position where you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Security Officer in a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence throughout the residential location.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$20.90 / Hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
