As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification in Texas. - Friday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail store, parking areas, receiving zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Maintain professional handling and accountability of assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with applicable laws, training, and Allied Universal policies.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Texas Level III Armed Certification.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
