Responsibilities

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Officer at a government location, where you will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry and exit activity, and conduct routine patrols. Your visible presence, clear communication, and exceptional customer service will help to deter security-related incidents.

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control protocols.
• Verify credentials, monitor entry and exit points, and authorize access in accordance with location requirements.
• Maintain visitor logs, issue approved access badges, and report unauthorized access attempts and/or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned government facilities and perimeter areas, with working conditions varying by location.

Requirements

• Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card/license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
