As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility interior areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
- Maintain authorized armed equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and site-specific requirements; document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately.
- Assist with access control, visitor management, and traffic or parking-related concerns while maintaining a professional presence in patient care environments.
Requirements
- CPO certification is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, corrections, military and/or degree in criminal justice.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
Pay
$24.00 / Hour
Schedule
DayTime — Thursday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Sunday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
