Security Officer Armed Part Time

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Control access to the location by verifying identification, processing authorized entry and exit, and documenting visitor, staff, and contractor movement according to post orders.
• Monitor entry points, screening equipment, keys, badges, and/or restricted areas to help support facility rules and report unusual activity or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or public agency contacts when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including perimeter access points, to help identify security-related issues and document observations.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
