Security Officer Armed Part Time

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment within the scope of an armed post.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents.
- Support access awareness and communication with professionalism.
Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
