Security Officer Armed Morning Patrol

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, operate a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and other authorized individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify authorization for entry, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information according to site procedures.
• Maintain required armed post readiness, operate assigned security-related equipment, and promptly communicate observed hazards, policy violations, and unusual activities to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Day Shift: Sunday 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
