You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional service and clear communication. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to facility personnel, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government correctional facility areas, grounds, perimeter, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying authorization, observing activity, and documenting relevant incidents or irregularities.
• Maintain required reports, logs, and equipment in accordance with site procedures, applicable laws, and Allied Universal requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
