Security Officer Armed - Manufacturing Facility

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer at a manufacturing facility in Middle River, MD, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a secure environment for staff and visitors.

Position Type: Part Time

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a healthcare-related location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
