Security Officer Armed Licensed Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Licensed Patrol in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Possess CPR and First Aid certification.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
