Security Officer - Armed FT
Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Emergency Readiness in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Monitor access points and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
- Maintain required armed post qualifications and follow applicable laws, company procedures, and site-specific requirements for assigned equipment.
Minimum Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
