Security Officer Armed Field Patrol
About the role
As a Security Officer Armed Field Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location as an armed officer, where you will monitor access points and patrol assigned areas to help support a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and support access control procedures for restricted operational areas and critical infrastructure locations.
- Assist with reporting hazards, equipment issues, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and follow post orders related to emergency events, outages, and other site-specific concerns.
Requirements
- Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Must possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Proof of high school diploma and/or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
