Security Officer Armed Field Patrol
About the role
As a Security Officer Armed Field Patrol in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter incidents, and support a professional atmosphere through strong communication and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, offices, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Maintain assigned armed post responsibilities in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site guidelines, using sound judgment during routine duties and/or escalated situations.
- Maintain access control by monitoring access to restricted areas, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization, and reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to post orders.
Requirements
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Skills
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs.
- Knowledge of alarm panel systems.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
