Security Officer Armed Driving

About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Driving Role in Elizabeth City, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. This is an armed and driving post.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public sector personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and support access control procedures for restricted areas in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
• Support security-related operations by maintaining a professional presence, preparing accurate reports, and following chain-of-command direction during routine duties and/or urgent events.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
