Security Officer Armed Driver Perimeter Patrol

About the role
As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government correctional environment in Laurinburg, NC, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver professional customer service and communication. This driving position offers the opportunity to contribute through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a caring, people-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a correctional setting.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and parking locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access and egress, verify authorization for visitors and deliveries, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Valid firearms permit is preferred.
- Armed guard card or license is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$21.50 / Hour

- Friday: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
- Saturday: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
- Sunday: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
