Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Driver Perimeter Patrol in Harlingen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position offers the opportunity to work with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or law enforcement as directed.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
