About the role
As an Armed Security Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location in Magna, UT, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, respond to security-related incidents, and maintain a visible presence to help deter concerns. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Bring strong communication and customer service skills while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established post orders.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$26.35 / hour
Schedule
- Position Type: Full Time
- Day shift: 01:45 PM - 09:45 PM, Monday through Friday
