That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer in Manassas, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $27.31 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime, Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a technology infrastructure location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted technology and infrastructure areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate contacts and complete required reports.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment, follow applicable armed-post procedures, and support security-related operations in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
