As a Security Officer in Manassas, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $27.31 / Hour
Job Schedule: DayTime, Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
How This Role Works
- Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a technology infrastructure location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted technology and infrastructure areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate contacts and complete required reports.
- Maintain readiness of assigned equipment, follow applicable armed-post procedures, and support security-related operations in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
