What You'll Do
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, screening visitors, and supporting security-related policies for a government location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and employee activity according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
- Help to deter unauthorized access by observing activity, reporting unusual behavior, and following established escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, doors, gates, and perimeter points as directed, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
- Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
