Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including armed response duties when required by post orders and applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations, verify credentials when required, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity.
- Prepare clear, timely documentation of incidents, patrol activity, and daily observations, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Qualifications
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
Pay
$22.00 / Hour
Schedule
Part Time. Daytime: Tuesday 05:00 PM - 03:00 AM, Wednesday 05:00 PM - 03:00 AM.
