Security Officer - Alarm Response

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a premier commercial tower location in Seattle, WA, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, assist tenants and visitors, and provide professional customer service. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor, vendor, and tenant interactions in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Guard card or license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
