Security Officer - Airport Access Control

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location in San Antonio, TX, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and support a welcoming environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and airport personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established airport and government facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned terminal areas, public spaces, access points, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unattended items, hazardous conditions, and access-control concerns, and promptly report observations through appropriate channels.
• Assist with directing visitors and personnel, maintaining awareness of restricted areas, and documenting incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related observations.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Schedule

• Part Time
• Daytime
• Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
